Mac MediaCast is becoming a contributor-based model. What does that mean? We want to feature stories from you!

We are looking for tutorials, product reviews, tech news, and tech interest stories from our viewers. It is a great opportunity to be heard, teach some techniques, promote your blog / podcast / business / band / indy film, etc., and possibly make some money! (more on that later).

Formats wanted: Written (good), Audio (better),  Video (best).

Ideas of what we’re looking for:  Screencast tutorials on Mac software (both pro & iLife), product or software review, news items or roundups, news-style packages (interviews with cool creative people, film festival reporting, etc.) You are all creative people if you’re watching Mac MediaCast already . . . let that creativity shine!

What We Do: If selected, your submission will be featured in the Mac MediaCast (for thousands of people around the world to see). In addition, your video featurette can be encoded as its own, freestanding video on its own page at Mac MediaCast.com. Just like this page. Here it will play with a short pre-roll ad and include a transcript of the video. We encourage sharing, emailing, blogging, embedding, digging, delicious-ing– because each play of the video earns a tiny bit of money. And we’ll split that with you (more on the nitty gritty of that deal in our agreement).

Building Relationships: As we grow, we want regular contributors to grow with us. That’s why we’re going to have two tiers of our team members: Contributors and Editors. There are many added benefits of becoming a Mac MediaCast editor– ability to add to the website / blog, help make decisions about the weekly show, etc. Hard-working and regular contributors will be hand-picked as editors.
Submission Process:

1. Contact us first (so we can make sure your idea fits into an upcoming show and that there are no duplicates– we don’t want you to do all that work for nothing!)
2. Create your submission (we recommend scripting your submission and making it as slick as possible)
3. Send it to us.
4. Enjoy fame and glory!
